About the Darwin EV Primary Belt Drive Conversion

The Darwin EV Primary Belt Drive Conversion replaces your Sur-Ron's chain-driven rear wheel with a Gates Carbon Drive belt system for silent, maintenance-free operation. No lubrication, no adjustment, no messy chain lube on your pants. The Gates CDX belt is rated for 20,000+ miles of maintenance-free service.

The kit includes CNC-machined aluminum front and rear pulleys, Gates CDX carbon fiber belt, belt tensioner, and all mounting hardware. Installation requires removal of the stock chain, sprockets, and chain guide, followed by installation of the belt system. Average install time is 2 hours.

Ideal for street/urban commuters and Light Bee L1E owners who want zero-maintenance drivetrain performance. The belt system also eliminates chain noise, making an already-quiet electric bike virtually silent.
